VISIT BOSNIA WITH BEY FOUNDATION.
Ever wanted to explore the rich culture and beauties of Bosnia? This is your chance!
The"Building and Empowering Youth" Foundation is offering you a week-long trip of exploring as well as participating in the annual "Marš Mira"/Peace March commemorating the Srebrenica genocide.
The capital city, Sarajevo, is a city like no other in Europe. This tour will show you how the city
developed, the most
important buildings, events, dates and people who shaped the city and made it what it is today.
Sarajevo is a city with a strong message, and has a lot to teach.
MOSTAR & POCITELJ
The trip there will take us to the most beautiful places of Herzegovina (Southern region): Mostar, Blagaj and Počitelj. All the amazing sites, fantastic food, a lot of history, and beautiful nature all in a single day.
Tuzla is the third-largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina and economic, cultural, educational, health
centre of northeast Bosnia. It is also the main industrial machine and one of the leading economic
strongholds of Bosnia. The history of the city goes back to the 9th century; modern Tuzla dates back
to 1510 when it became an important garrison town in the Ottoman Empire.
"MARš MIRA" / PEACE MARCH
A three-day peace march in Bosnia and Herzegovina to commemorate the anniversary of the genocide
in Srebrenica. The route of the march is the same trail Bosniak Muslims took to escape the genocide and flee to free territory. Some 15,000 people fled into the surrounding mountains but Serb troops hunted down and killed 6,000 of them in the forests.
Srebrenica is infamous for the single worst act of genocide in Europe after Second World War. Learn
all the background, history, politics, reasons, aims, and results of genocide that happened in UN
protected, demilitarized „safe zone“. Visit the memorial center, the factories which used to be UN
bases, mass grave sites and the town itself.
The trip will conclude with a final day back in Sarajevo exploring sites that you may have not seen, or relaxing from the week's adventures.
